Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India examination that primarily tests the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in Engineering and Technology. GATE 2014 organizing institute is IIT KHARAGPUR. GATE is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IITs  Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. 

The score is used for admissions to various post-graduate programmes (M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in Indian higher education institutes with financial assistance provided by MHRD and other Government agencies.  

GATE Result will be declared  on 28th March 2014. Student can check their result on University web portal. After the declaration of the results.  GATE Score Cards will be issued mailed to the Correspondence address given in the application to  All candidates whose marks are greater than or equal to the qualifying mark in their respective papers. There is no provision for the issue of additional GATE Score Cards.
